Gluten Free GeeFree Foods

gluten free jacksonville geefree foodsRecently I had the chance to try some delicious food from GeeFree Foods.  I tried their version of gluten-free pigs in a blanket, chicken pot pie and cheeseburger bites- just in time for the Super Bowl!  GeeFree is the only manufacturers of all natural gluten free puff pastry dough and appetizers. They recently became certified by Project Non-GMO. Their proteins are nitrate, hormone and antibiotic free and they never use corn or soy! They are a small startup company with all three partners being gluten-free (I always love it when people that sell the product are gluten-free, they get us).

gluten free jacksonville geefree foodsOn Monday nights we take turns having dinner over at friend’s houses. This Monday night my husband and I happened to be hosting and I presented the items to my gluten-eating friends. Who better to taste test the items than people who are used to eating gluten! They showed up with a little apprehension because usually anything I share with them that is gluten-free tastes different of funny to them.

The dough around it did look gluten-free but the taste and the actual sausage inside was a huge hit! Paired with mustard these were so yummy!

My friend Robbie, who loves his carbs and just food in general, stated he would buy the chicken pot pie- he loved it (and he is not gluten-free). The size is a great portion for one however, you may need to add a little salt, one person commented that it could use a tad more. I don’t think that is a bad thing, in my mind it is better to under salt than over salt.

All in all I think I would buy these if I was having friends over or to bring with me to a party or gathering to have options. The portions were better than most gluten-free frozen foods I have purchased, however, I am not quite sure about price. All three of the items needed to cook longer than suggested so I would keep a close eye on them, I probably had to cook each 3-5 minutes longer. They be found at Native Sun and Earth Fare  locally.

Have you had these before? What do you think?
